More Feng Shui
Feng Shui began in China with the belief that where one built their home would affect their well being and every aspect of life. It has evolved over the years to include more than just the natural world and can now be applied to any environment. Since most people can't control where their homes are built today, or even what they look like, modern Feng Shui is designed to work within a given structure.
Feng Shui is based on the principle of chi, the life force that exists in all living things. It is the energy that is within and all around us. When the chi flows harmoniously and energy is not constricted or obstructed then we will experience happier, healthier and more prosperous lives. It is the basic ability to position ourselves in our environment in order to achieve the greatest advantages.
Harmonious chi has a lot to do with a balance of yin and yang in our environments. This can be achieved by the conscious application of the 5 elements of earth, air, fire, wood and metal.
When you can create an environment that supports your needs and well being you take optimum advantage of the life force that exists everywhere. Feng Shui principles go a long way toward creating such an environment.
