Along with the symbols contained in the pictures on the Tarot cards, the numbers too have important symbolism. Ideally, when reading the Tarot cards you want to take into account the meanings of the numbers on each card in combination with the meanings of the suits, as well as their relation to other cards in the reading.

ACES - represent beginnings, singularity, creative power, the individual, purity, roots and often deal with issues of energy.

TWOS - represent duality, connections, dialogue, reflection, receptivity, dependence, communication, relationships and creativity that is possibly unfulfilled.

THREES - represent growth, fruits of partnership, expression, development, understanding, trinity of life.

FOURS - represent structure, logic, order, memory, classification, reason and stability.

FIVES - represent loss, struggle, change, adaptation, activity, religion, strength, versatility, adversity, uncertainty and issues of time

SIXES - represent marriage, fresh beginnings, harmony, symmetry, harmony of opposites, polarity, love, motherhood, balance and equilibrium.

SEVENS - represent completeness, soul development, perfection, safety, rest, victory, wisdom, and the number of the mystic.

EIGHTS - represent justice, judgment, health, rhythm, material progress, regeneration, balance of opposite forces, consolidation, and death of the old and wrong and birth of the new and just.

NINES - represent completion, end of one cycle and beginning of another, and the attainment and balance of the 3 planes of being - physical, mental and spiritual.

TENS - represent completion, perfection and rest.
